An event marking 28 May, the Republic Day of Azerbaijan has been held in Calgary, Canada.

Alberta Azerbaijani Cultural Society held a flag raising ceremony in front of Calgary City Hall on the occasion of the 99th Anniversary of the Republic Day of Azerbaijan. The Azeri Calgary Stars dance group performed national dances during the event.
