AzalThe number of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) flights to New York will be increased from December 8 and performed three times in a week, including Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

First direct flights between Baku’s Heydar Aliyev International Airport and New York’s JFK Airport were launched on September 24, 2014.

During the two months the number of flights between Baku and New York was carried out two times in a week.

AZAL U.S. office Head Kamran Gadjar noted that Boeing 787 (Dreamliner), obtained by the company this year will be used to perform the flights en route Baku-New York in summer 2015.

Currently, AZAL implements transit flights from NY through Baku to the following cities such as Aktau, Bishkek, Istanbul, Tehran, Tel Aviv and Tbilisi. Passengers traveling to Baku may obtain tickets at travel agencies or via Internet.

With a fleet consisting of Boeing 757-200, Boeing 767-300, Airbus 319, Airbus A320, Airbus A340-500, Embraer ERJ 170-100LR and Embraer ERJ 190-100, Azerbaijani airlines is cooperating with about 60 foreign airlines throughout the world.
