The situation on the contact line between Azerbaijan and Armenia has remained tense as the Armenian Armed Forces shattered ceasefire a total of 161 times throughout the day, Azerbaijan`s Defence Ministry said.
The ceasefire was violated in Kokhanabi and Aghdam villages of Tovuz region, Kamarli, Gaymagli and Gizilhajili villages of Gazakh region, Kohnagishlag village of Aghstafa region, Marzili, Yusifjanli, Shuraabad, Shikhlar and Bash Garvand villages of Aghdam region, Horadiz, Gorgan, Garakhanbayli, Ashagi Veysalli, Asgahi Seyidahmadli and Ashagi Abdurrahmanli villages of Fuzuli region, Chilaburt and Gizil Oba villages of Tartar region, Tap Garagoyunlu village of Goranboy region, Kuropatkino village of Khojavend region, Mehdili village of Jabrayil region and nameless hills of Gadabay and Goygol regions on August 4 and on the night of August 5.
The Armenians were silenced with a retail fire, the Defence Ministry said.
