Chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives committee on foreign affairs, the U.S. congressman, Ed Royce will pay a visit to Azerbaijan.

U.S. co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, James Warlick wrote this on his Twitter page.

Warlick said he had a meeting with Royce on April 3 and noted that the congressman will pay a visit to Azerbaijan, Armenia and Ukraine.

However, the date of the visit hasn’t been announced.

Royce currently serves as a member of the United States House of Representatives for California’s 39th congressional district.

The United States recognized Azerbaijan’s independence in December 1991. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in February 1992. Seventy-six documents are included in the legal framework for bilateral cooperation.

Since Azerbaijan’s emergence as an independent nation in 1991, the U.S.-Azerbaijan relationship has evolved into a strategic partnership based on mutual interests and common values.
