On January 29, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Canada and the Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (EURUS) at Carleton University have successfully organized a seminar “Azerbaijan: Past and Present” to mark the 130th anniversary of MAMMAD EMIN RASULZADE (1884-1955), one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (1918-1920).

M.A. Rasulzade was one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and the outstanding political figure of the 20th century.
