Members of Azerbaijani community in Southern California joined Azerbaijani American Council (AAC) to represent their homeland at the Irvine Global Village Festival one of the largest multicultural events in California. AAC has participated in this annual festival since 2007.

Attended by over 25,000 visitors, the event featured exhibitors from over 50 different cultural groups based in Orange County. The visitors to the AAC booth were guided through the cultural displays, national costumes, souvenirs, and printed material on the history and geography of Azerbaijan, to learn more about the country’s rich heritage. They also had a unique opportunity to taste the finest Azerbaijani pomegranate juice now available in markets across Southern California. AAC worked closely with the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles to obtain materials for the cultural display at the festival.
